The US Open is one of the most prestigious golf events. Golfers from around the world aspire to be a part of the tournament and get their hands on the historic trophy. With countless competing each year, only some are fortunate enough to gain victory.
Interestingly, this time, the golfers will have to make it to North Carolina for the prestigious event at the infamous Pinehurst Resort, also commonly known as the cradle of American Golf.
The USGA (United States Golf Association) wants Pinehurst to be the most sought-after golf course in the country and their recent lineup of events is witness to that. Including the 2024 US Open, the USGA has confirmed seven events at the Pinehurst Golf & Country Club.
The USGA announced on Tuesday (October 24) that the 2027 US Women's Amateur, 2032 US Juniors Amateur, US Girls Junior, 2038 US Amateur, 2044 US Women's Amateur, and the future US Adaptive Open will be played out at the Pinehurst's golf courses.
Since 2020, the USGA have adopted a different strategy and have tried to reduce the number of golf venues for their signature events. They have also introduced the rotation of important sites, putting focus entirely on select golf courses around the country.
