Bryson DeChambeau had hosted US President Donald Trump for an episode of his 'Break 50' series on YouTube in July last year. Now, the latter's granddaughter, Kai Trump, recently posted a picture with the US golfer.
Kai is an amatuer golfer studying in The Benjamin School. In August last year, the 17-year-old had given her verbal committment to the University of Miami to represent the college in golf as the signing member of the 2026 batch.
Outside of her golf career, Kai is also a popular social media personality, having garnered 649k subscribers on YouTube. Her vlog on Donald Trump's election night last year had attained a staggering 4.5 million views. She is also very active on TikTok.
Recently, she took to Instagram to share a few pictures with her 864k followers. While the carousel post featured several snaps showing her on a set, golf course, during a BTS for her cooking video, hanging out with friends etc. the eighth picture featured her alongside Bryson DeChambeau and her father Donald Trump Jr., posing in front of a private plane.
Kai captioned the post:
"Been on the go lately!"
Notably, she had even asked some "hard hitting" questions to the "best players in the world" in an Instagram reel. She had interviewed Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka ahead of their 'Showdown' in December last year.
"Hits the ball a little bit longer than me" - When Donald Trump called Bryson DeChambeau a "fantastic golfer" from the stage
Last year, Donald Trump had held a campaign rally at the Palm Beach Count Convention. During the rally, he gave a shout out to none other than Bryson DeChambeau.
The US golfer had joined LIV Golf in it's debut season in 2022 and Trump has been a supporter of the breakaway league ever since it's inception. The latter spoke highly of DeChambeau as he tried to spot him from the stage.
"We have up here today the U.S. Open champion. He's a fantastic golfer. Slightly longer than me. Hits the ball a little bit longer than me. Just a little bit," Trump said via The Palm Beach Post.
He further added:
"Bryson DeChambeau is up here someplace."
When the then-presidential candidate couldn't find the 2024 US Open champion from the stage, he wondered:
"What happened to Bryson? Where is he? Bryson! He’s hitting balls. Oh, he’s on the way? He's hitting balls."
When DeChambeau finally walked on to the stage, Trump continued showering his praise on him saying:
"Oh, look at him. He's got a great career going. Great U.S. Open, Bryson. That's a fantastic job."
The 31-year-old had sported a 'Make America Great Again' cap at the rally.
