Rory McIlroy’s lavish 13,000-square-foot mansion in Jupiter, Florida, is under a weather warning as a result of Hurricane Milton. The location of the Irishman’s property has a 'Tropical storm warning' placed on it.

McIlroy has lived in Jupiter since 2011 in the guard-gated Bear’s Club golf community. The PGA Tour golfer purchased the current mansion from two-time Open Champion Ernie Els in 2017.

Now, the area is under a storm warning. According to officials, the area has a 'threat to life and property' due to the fast-approaching Hurricane. The west coast of Florida is being predicted to get 'catastrophic' winds and flash floods.

As per the National Hurricane Center, the storm is predicted to have an impact soon and will be “one of the most destructive hurricanes on record for west-central Florida”. The residents of the region have asked to evacuate the area, as per CNN. Notably, Rory McIlroy and his family’s whereabouts is not confirmed at the moment.

It is pertinent to note that McIlroy’s neighbor Shane Lowry's home is also under a weather warning. Interestingly, Lowry's wife, Wendy, took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to share a picture of her daughter riding a bike in the area. She captioned it “Calm before the storm,” addressing the incoming danger. Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player are some other golfers residing in the region.

Rory McIlroy holds rights to his Florida mansion under prenup

Rory McIlroy was entangled in a divorce from partner Erica Stoll earlier this year. However, the couple called it off later, ending a few weeks of drama. Meanwhile, the divorce reports brought out the prenup put up by the golfer, which revealed him to have full rights to keep his 13,000-square-foot mansion in Jupiter, Florida, during a divorce.

According to reports, the mansion is situated on 2.5 acres of land. The lavish property, owned fully by the four-time major champions, has nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a home theater, a recording studio, a guest house and a tennis court. Notably, McIlroy and Stoll spent years renovating the property after purchasing in 2017. The golfer spent over $11 million on the mansion, which is currently worth over $20 million, as per Redfin's estimate.

While he owns rights to the mansion, The New York Post had reported in May that Rory McIlroy might hand over the keys to his wife to provide for their 4-year-old daughter, Poppy. However, the duo soon put off their divorce and got back together. McIlroy's attorney filed a statement which noted that the duo had ‘resolved their differences’ and closed the divorce case.
