Scottie Scheffler commits to the Arnold Palmer Invitational following a hand injury

Scottie Scheffler is all set to start his 2025 PGA Tour season next week with the AT&T Pebble Pro-Am. Additionally, he has also committed to the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational starting March 6-9 at the Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Golf Course.

Underdog Golf shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) and revealed that the world's no.1 golfer has committed to the next Signature event on the PGA Tour.

Scottie Scheffler hasn't competed in any of the 2025 PGA Tour events so far, as he underwent surgery following a freak injury to his hand. He suffered a cut on his right hand while making dinner at home during Christmas.

"On Christmas Day while preparing dinner, Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from a broken glass. Small glass fragments remained in the palm which required surgery," said Scheffler's manager Blake Smith in a statement last month. "He has been told that he should be back to 100 percent in three to four weeks."

Scheffler has missed The Sentry, Sony Open, The American Express and the Farmers Insurance Open. However, the 28-year-old golfer is now set to return to pro golf next week with The AT&T Pebble Beach pro-am.
