Scottie Scheffler details “frustrating” relationship with LIV golfers amid PGA-PIF fiasco

Scottie Scheffler is the World No. 1 golfer and the top player on the PGA Tour. Scheffler, along with McIlroy, will compete in The Match against Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka amid the PGA - PIF fiasco.

Recently, during a press conference, Scheffler talked about his relationship with the LIV Golfers. He said his friendship with LIV golfers hasn't changed, but with some golfers suing, the tour left him a bit frustrated.

"I don't know. There's just so many moving pieces in that deal. It's one of those things where, like, my friendships to guys out there hasn't really changed that much. I think in the beginning, when some of the guys were suing us, that was a bit frustrating for the players out here, but over time, those things kind of fade," Scheffler said.

He shared that there isn't much ill will towards anyone, and he tries not to cross the line as things get a bit hazy at times.

"I don't think there was a ton of ill will for that type of stuff. At the end of the day, you have your business, and you have your personal stuff, and I try not to cross the lines too much just because things get a little hazy there sometimes," the two-time Major championship winner said.

When will Scottie Scheffler play next?

Scottie Scheffler will represent Team USA at the 2024 Presidents Cup this week from September 26th at the Royal Montreal Golf Club. He is one of the top golfers and star attractions this week as Team USA takes on the International Team.

Scheffler is coming into the event after having an incredible season on the PGA Tour. He won seven PGA Tour trophies, including a Major championship, The Masters, and a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 28-year-old golfer will hope to continue this momentum in the biennial event and assist Team USA in maintaining domination in the Presidents Cup. Team USA has won the Presidents Cup 12 times, while the International Team has won the event just once.
