Scottie Scheffler may not have been able to start his 2025 season due to a hand injury, but his name has not stopped circulating on the PGA Tour. On Tuesday, January 21, it was announced that Scheffler was one of the players elected to the Tour's Players Advisory Council (PAC).

Scheffler will return to the PAC after his first term in 2024. The news was released on the PGA Tour's official website, which added that the World No. 1 will be part of a team of 16 active players on the tour.

This is the final list of players that will make up the PAC:

  • Sam Burns
  • Eric Cole
  • Trevor Cone
  • Rickie Fowler
  • Brian Harman
  • Charley Hoffman
  • Max Homa
  • Kevin Kisner
  • Max McGreevy
  • Maverick McNealy
  • Keith Mitchell
  • Seamus Power
  • Scottie Scheffler
  • Brandt Snedeker
  • Justin Thomas
  • Gary Woodland

Half of the PAC has been renewed from one year to the next. Burns, Harman, Homa, McNealy, Mitchell, Power, Scheffler, and Thomas remain in their positions, Cole, Cone, McGreevy, and Woodland are making their debut in the role and Fowler, Kisner, Hoffman, and Snedeker have served previous terms.

The PAC is one of the collegiate governing bodies of the PGA Tour. Its members are elected by a vote of the Tour's players and act as a team of advisors and consultants to the Board of Directors and Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan.

The PAC will be electing its chairman and sub-committees shortly as the date for the same has not yet been confirmed.

Scottie Scheffler recently gave an update on his recovery from the hand injury he suffered over Christmas. Here's part of what he had to say:

"Everything went well with the surgery. Body feels pretty good, still making decisions on schedule going forward. We should know in the next few days to a week whether I’ll play next week. But everything’s on schedule so we’ll see." [via Golf Digest]

Scottie Scheffler injured his hand on Christmas Day while preparing dinner, it was later revealed. The injury required surgery to remove small pieces of glass that remained in his hand.

The recovery led Scottie Scheffler to withdraw from The Sentry, The American Express, and the Farmers Insurance Open. His participation in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, to be played between January 30th and February 2nd, is still uncertain.

Scottie Scheffler played in 19 official PGA Tour events in 2024. He won seven of them, including one major championship (The Masters), The Players Championship, four Signature Events and the TOUR Championship. He also won the Olympic gold medal at Paris 2024, the unofficial Hero World Challenge title, and The Showdown, where he teamed up with Rory McIlroy to take on Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.
