PGA Tour star Scottie Scheffler brought smiles and holiday cheer to a group of children from a Dallas-based children's charity this week, treating them to an unforgettable shopping spree at the PGA Tour Superstore. The 28-year-old partnered up with FedEx to make a positive impact on his local community.

Behind Every Door is a program that aims to help kids from underserved communities build futures with the help of God. Scheffler, his wife Meredith, and their son, Bennett, accompanied the young children to the PGA Tour Superstore in Dallas to pick out golf gear and outfits as Christmas presents for themselves and their loved ones.

The PGA Tour dedicated a post to share the wholesome day with golf enthusiasts all over the world. The post included videos of the family interacting with the kids and sharing laughs over stories along with the caption:

"Getting in the holiday spirit with the Schefflers ❤️ Scottie, Meredith and Bennett surprised kids from Behind Every Door, a Dallas charity close to their hearts, with a shopping experience with @FedEx at PGA TOUR Superstore."

The Dallas resident and his family took the time to engage with each child and offer them advice and guidance.

Scottie Scheffler praises God for his golf career

Scottie Scheffler is a devout catholic. After bagging the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the World No. 1 received a lot of praise from fans on social media for his accomplishments this year. However, the 28-year-old does not tie his identity and self-worth to his accolades.

He said in an interview after the podium finish (via Sports Spectrum):

"The reason why I play golf is I'm trying to glorify God and all that He's done in my life. So for me, my identity isn't a golf score. My buddies told me this morning, 'My victory was secure on the cross. And that's a pretty special feeling to know that I'm secure for forever and it doesn't matter if I win this tournament or lose this tournament. My identity is secure forever."

Scheffler and his caddie, Ted Scott, met for the first time during bible study last year. Scott, who was then caddying for Bubba Watson for 15 years, decided to part ways with the LIV Golf star.

According to Golf Magic, the PGA Tour star called up Scott, stating that he really wants to work with a fellow Christian who shares the same love for competing with great passion. Since then, Scheffler and Scott continued to talk and became an iconic duo, which was facilitated by their religious beliefs.
