Scottie Scheffler tops 11 stats at Hero World Challenge including total birdies

Scottie Scheffler continues dominating the greens as he defended his title at the recently concluded Hero World Challenge 2024 and topped 11 stats for the last week. He has been phenomenal with his performance in 2024. From winning his second Major at the Masters to winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, Scottie Scheffler has had a memorable year filled with achievements.

Recently, the PGA Tour has unveiled the records Scottie Scheffler topped with his victory. He topped the total birdie ranking for the last week along with other stats such as 1st in scoring average and 1st in par 4 scoring average, among others. He made a total of 27 birdies at the 2024 Hero World Challenge.

  10. 1st in Putting Inside 10 Feet (97%)
  11. 1st in Putting Inside 4 Feet (100%)

Scottie Scheffler settled with a score of 25 under after four rounds of the Hero World Challenge. He started the game with a birdie on the first hole in the opening round. He carded two birdies and a bogey on the front nine of the first round and four birdies on the back nine for a round of 5-under 67.

The American golfer started the second round with four consecutive birdies on the first four holes and then added two more birdies on the sixth and seventh and another birdie on the ninth. He carded a birdie on the 14th and shot 8-under 64 in the second round.

Scottie Scheffler shot four birdies and a bogey in the third round for 3-under 69, followed by the final round of 9-under 63 with four birdies on the front nine and five on the back nine to settle for a total of 25-under. He registered a six-stroke win over Tom Kim in the event, who settled for 19 under.

Justin Thomas was in the lead after the third round, but he struggled in the finale, carding 71 and slipping down two spots to settle in third place. Meanwhile, Akshay Bhatia secured the fourth spot, while Keegan Bradley secured the fifth spot.

Scheffler won the Hero World Challenge last year by defeating Sepp Straka by three strokes. He was impressive with his game again in 2024 and won the tournament. It was his ninth win of the year. He had won seven PGA Tour events this season and a gold medal at the Paris Olympics before the Hero World Challenge.

Speaking of his memorable season, Scheffler said (via PGA Tour):

“I've had a little bit of time to reflect, but I'm not really sure how to assess it. It's just been pretty surreal; it's been a lot of fun. I'm just really grateful.”

Scheffler started the season with a win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and then won the Players Championship. He registered a four-stroke win at the Masters and then won the RBC Heritage. He had also won the Memorial Tournament, Travelers Championship, and Tour Championship.
