Taylor Pendrith scored the first albatross carded at The Sentry since 1999 when the event moved to Kapalua Resort. Although it was an exceptional performance, fans were not able to enjoy it in good video quality.

The group in which Taylor Pendrith played was not among those followed by the broadcast, so there were no cameras focused on him. The Canadian's historic play wasn't captured in the best quality, and fans were vocal about it.

One X (formerly Twitter) user posted the following:

"And you guys only had security camera footage"

Another user said:

"Not having cameras rolling is embarrassing"

Let's take a look at some other reactions on X:

"I bet you could hire 18 guys each to sit and film a hole for a limited field event. Probably pay em 20 an hour and a couple beers and you'd almost have half of the quality YouTube golf has," one fan posted.
"Looks like that 1 billion dollar investment is paying dividends for the product," another fan said.
"Lovin this picture quality", another user wrote.
"What kind of footage is this? Is this old Tom Morris making an albatross?", another fan posted.

A few days before The Sentry, the circuit inaugurated the PGA Tour Studios with the presence of Tiger Woods. The facility aims to improve the audiovisual content produced, related to the different events and players.

Taylor Pendrith's albatross and more

Taylor Pendrith's albatross came on the par-5, 520-yard 5th hole. The Canadian hit the fairway with his 279-yard tee shot. From there, it was 203 yards to the hole, but it was not an easy shot as he had to send his ball over a dogleg right of the fairway to reach the green.

Playing aggressively, Taylor Pendrith went for the pin with his second shot. His decision paid off as he hit an excellent shot that got the ball to within five feet of the hole, then hit the pin and went in nicely.

Taylor Pendrith played with an albatross, carding four birdies and no bogeys until the 16th, which put him in a tie for fourth. However, he had complications on the 17th and dropped more than 10 places on the leaderboard.

On the penultimate hole (548 yards, par 4), Taylor Pendrith sent his tee shot into the native area to the right of the fairway and had to take a penalty stroke. He hit the fairway with his third shot and reached the green with his fourth, but then two-putted for double bogey.

Pendrith went from strength to strength as the tournament progressed, starting with a 2-under 71 in the first round, but carding nine birdies and one bogey (8 under for the round) on the second day. He continued to improve in the third round when he had an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys (6 under for the round).
