Sergio Garcia says Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf debut season didn’t ‘surprise’ him

Sergio Garcia had high praise for Jon Rahm, who won the 2024 LIV Golf Championship. He remarked that despite it being Rahm's debut season, such a performance was expected from someone of his caliber.

On Sunday, September 15, Rahm won the LIV Golf Championship after clinching his second title on the circuit in Chicago. He finished at 11-under, beating Jon Niemann and Sergio Garcia by a three-stroke margin.

During the post-round interview, Garcia said he wasn't surprised by Rahm's result at the LIV Golf Championship.

"Expected. I mean, he's that good. You knew that he was going to be there, and as soon as he felt a little bit comfortable, you knew that he was capable of doing things like that. It didn't surprise me. He's just that good of a player."
