British golfer Justin Rose finished his Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship campaign at an underwhelming T68. He recently took to social media to poke fun at his own performance at the tournament.

Rose shared a snapshot from the event, writing:

"Always enjoy my time in Abu Dhabi at the AD Golf Champs. Shame the game wasn't as hot as the weather! Can't wait to be back in January for the Team Cup,"

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship began on Wednesday, November 6. Rose finished the four-round tournament with a 2-under score. Fellow Englishman Paul Waring clinched the title with an impressive 24-under score, while Tyrrell Hatton finished T2.

This was the final event of the 2024 calendar before the DP World Tour finale in Dubai next week. Rose will captain the Great Britain and Ireland team at the Team Cup in Abu Dhabi next January.

English golfer Justin Rose is 26th in the Race to Dubai standings. The players within the top 50 positions on the leaderboard after the culmination of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship will qualify for the event which will be held in Dubai next week.

Rose has comfortably qualified for the event and will face stiff competition from leaderboard leader Rory McIlroy, along with Shane Lowry, Billy Horschel, Thriston Lawrence, Tommy Fleetwood, Rasmus Hojgaard, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, and others.

The prize purse for the grand event is a staggering $10 million. Although it still less compared to a PGA Tour event, the championship will be an important opportunity for golfers who are yet to receive a PGA Tour card. The top ten placed players will receive an entry into the US circuit next season.
