In a bizarre golf analogy, former RNC Chair Reince Priebus recently lashed out at US presidential candidate Kamala Harris by comparing her stance on important subjects to Rory McIlroy's 2024 US Open performance. He made these comments during an appearance on the ABC Powerhouse roundtable.

It is no secret that Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy had a heartbreaking end to his 2024 US Open campaign. He suffered a marginal loss to Bryson DeChambeau. Now, it seems that his loss has made it's way to political metaphors thanks to Priebus. The political analyst criticized Kamala Harris's remarks from the previous week, drawing comparisons between them and McIlroy's loss at Pinehurst.

Golf reporter Dan Rapaport reposted the video on X where Priebus could be heard saying:

"She went on to clarify the two most important issues, that are facing these two candidates: the economy and immigration. And she bombed like Rory at the US Open and she went out there and said there was nothing she could do that would be different than Joe Biden."

The US presidential election will take place in November this year. With the date fast approaching, the contest between candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is getting even more intense.

Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy was looking to end his decade-long major title drought at the 2024 US Open as he entered the final round of the tournament. He started with a birdie on the opening hole and followed it up with four more birdies in a five-hole stretch.

Bryson DeChambeau remained a strong contender, consistently carding pars. The momentum shifted when McIlroy missed his first putt and ultimately bogeyed the 16th hole. DeChambeau, meanwhile, birdied the 13th, capitalizing on his opponent's errors. McIlroy's struggles on the green proved costly, as he ultimately fell one stroke short of the championship.

McIlroy's close-call losses began with the US Open and continued at the Irish Open and BMW PGA Championship, where he finished behind Rasmus Hojgaard and Billy Horschel, respectively. His heartbreaking defeat at the US Open has now even entered political discussions.
