The 2024 Presidents Cup started off on a thrilling note as Team USA gained a 5-0 lead going into Day 2. The following day, the lead was wiped out by the International Team as they closed the deficit and tied the game 5-5. Hence, there was a lot of anticipation heading into the third round at the Royal Montreal Golf Club.

On Day 3, Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim began the day on a positive note as they beat Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark 4&3 in 15 holes. During the game, Woo Kim hit a chip in the birdie, which received a huge roar from the crowd, and the golfer was seen using Steph Curry's celebration.

Talking about his celebration, Woo Kim commented on why he used it, saying (via GolfDigest on X):

"My favorite NBA player is Steph Curry, so that's what I did."

While Si Woo Kim's and Tom Kim's victory in the fourball match was a morale booster for the International Team, their other teammates could not replicate the same performance. As a result, Team USA ended up winning the Round 3-1. In the other matches, Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa beat Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith 2&1 in 17 holes.

Next, Tony Finau and Xander Schauffele beat the International Team's Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes 3&2 in 16 holes. Finally, Team USA's Patrick Cantlay and Sam Burns beat Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im, which ended the day for the Americans on a positive note as they gained a lead of 11-7 after Saturday's matches concluded.
