Fans on social media have reacted to Eugenio Chacarra slamming LIV Golf. The Spanish golfer joined the circuit in 2022 and delivered some impressive performances in the first season.

However, Chacarra struggled with his game in 2024 and settled at No. 39 in LIV Golf's season standings. His series did not retain him for the 2025 season. Eugenio Chacarra called out LIV Golf for their promises about OWGR points and Majors. He said (via Nuclr Golf):

"When I joined LIV they promised OWGR and majors. But it didn’t happen. I trusted them. I was the first young guy, then the others came after I made the decision. But OWGR and majors still hasn’t happened…”

However, fans had mixed reactions to Chacarra's comments. Some fans slammed the Spaniard, saying he should have performed better to secure his position, while others supported him.

"And so it begins… 🍿" a fan said.
"Play better, bud," another fan said.

Meanwhile, a fan called him out for joining LIV Golf.

"And yet he picked the money over all those things that now seems to be at the top of his list…..interesting……best of luck in whatever happens next!" a fan said.

Yet another fan shared an optimistic message supporting Chacarra.

"He took a chance, set himself up and now looking for a new opportunity. This is exactly what happens in life, not just golf," one fan said.

Some others were critical of him.

"LOL. Easy to say after you sold out your career for a bag," a fan said.
"He finished 39th in the standings and is no longer on the team, I think individual performance matters," another fan said.

Eugenio Chacarra shares his wish to play on the PGA Tour

Following his exit from LIV Golf, Eugenio Chacarra is planning to join the PGA Tour. However, for that, he will need to wait at least a year because the Tour has banned the Saudi circuit players from competing in their league. To be eligible to play on the PGA Tour, LIV golfers must serve at least a one-year suspension from the time of their last Saudi circuit event.

Chacarra shared his plans to play on the PGA Tour, saying:

"I see what it’s like to win on the PGA Tour and how your life changes. How you get major access and ranking points. On LIV, nothing changes, there is only money. It doesn’t matter if you finish thirtieth or first, only money. I’m not a guy who wants more money. What will change my life is playing in Hawaii and qualifying for the majors, qualifying for the Masters, the Ryder Cup.”

Eugenio Chacarra started playing professionally in 2022 and has so far won two professional tournaments. He won the LIV Golf Invitational Bangkok in 2022 and the St Andrews Bay Championship in 2023.
