Rose Zhang, who made headlines last week for her incredible performance at the Solheim Cup, missed the cut at this week's Kroger Queen City Championship. Coming straight from the international team event, the LPGA Tour players teed it up at the Kroger Queen City Championship, starting Thursday, September 19.
However, after two rounds, Zhang finished with an even-par score and unfortunately missed the cut. She was one of the best performers at the Solheim Cup last week. The 21-year-old golfer scored 4-0-0 at the biennial team event and became only the third American golfer to achieve that score.
Despite her solid performances at the Solheim Cup, she struggled this week at the LPGA Tour event. Rose Zhang started her campaign with a round of 1-over 73 at the Kroger Queen City Championship. She shot three birdies and four bogeys in the opening round.

Zhang teed it up on the tenth hole with a par and then made a birdie on the next hole. She shot a birdie and bogey on the front nine and had two birdies, and three bogeys on the back nine for a round of 1-over.
In the second round, she started her game on the first tee hole and shot a bogey on the third. However, she quickly bounced back, adding two eagles on the sixth and eighth but struggled on the par-4 15th. She made a double bogey on the hole and settled for a score of 1-under 71, bringing her total to even par.
Rose Zhang is the only Solheim Cup player who missed the cut at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Eleven of the Solheim Cup players from both the European and USA teams teed it up at this week's event. However, ten of them made the cut.
From the USA side, along with Zhang, Nelly Korda, and Lexi Thompson joined the field. Meanwhile, Anna Nordqvist, Albane Valenzuela, Leona Maguire, Madelene Sagstrom, Charley Hull, Linn Grant, Georgia Hall, and Esther Henseleit from the European side are also playing this week.

A look into Rose Zhang's performance at Solheim Cup 2024
Rose Zhang won her foursome, fourball, and single matches at the 2024 Solheim Cup. It was her second appearance at the tournament, and she played fabulously throughout the three-day event.
In Friday's foursome, Zhang teamed up with Lilia Vu to play against the European team's Celine Boutier and Albane Valenzuela and defeated them by 3&2. She also competed in Friday's fourball, joining Andrea Lee to take on Linn Grant and Charley Hull, and again won the second match of the day by 5&4.
On the second day of the Solheim Cup, Rose Zhang played in the fourball again and registered another win, adding one more point to her team's overall score. She teamed up with Andrea Lee and played against Grant and Boutier, winning the match by 6&4. The American golfer also won her Sunday singles match against Carlota Ciganda by 6&4.
The USA team won the Solheim Cup 2024 by a score of 15½ to 12½.
