Jordan Spieth displayed his support for Leeds United by performing their iconic Leeds salute alongside Matt Fitzpatrick's caddie Billy Foster at the ongoing WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.
Fitzpatrick is a Sheffield United fan but his caddie Foster is a fan of rival Leeds United.
The Premier League club tweeted a photo of the former World No. 1 alongside Yorkshireman Foster's picture and wrote:
"Legendary caddy Billy Foster spreading the good word again! #ALAW @JordanSpieth!"
With Spieth being one of the most popular players on the PGA Tour at the moment, his picture of supporting Leeds United is surely going to gain some more supporters for the Premier League club.
Jordan Spieth's walk-off chip-in leaves social media in awe
Jordan Spieth defeated Mackenzie Hughes, 4 & 3 but he did it in fashion on the 15th hole by winning it with a walk-off chip-in.
The shot left Golf Twitter in awe. Here's a look at some of the reactions:
"What price for a 2nd green jacket next month?"
"The Wizarding World of Jordan Spieth 🔥"
"He is winning a major this year."
"I can't believe I'm missing this to be at work lol"
"Wizard Spieth. Great to see him playing well."
"His majesty, King of the Short Game 👑🤴🏻"
"How does he just keep doing this over and over again ?"
"I guess it's true. Better to be lucky than good!"
"He pulls magic off more than any other pro.. always expect the unexpected with Jordan. It’s usually with the putter and around the green ⛳️"
"And his game continues to inspire!!!"
"The man that chipped in for Eagle to make the Cut at the PLAYERS. Ide say his short game ain't too shabby. If Spieth can get his putter going this year you will see him holding a trophy or two this season 🏆"
"Jordan is starting to do Jordan things again. Watch out."
"This guy does this every tournament it’s really mind blowing at this point"
"Never gets old, jordan with the walkoff flair for the dramatic."
"Class. Didn’t go jumping around throwing clubs. Match play is different for sure."
"This man always doing some wild shit"
"He is indisputably the Wizard of Wedges period"
"I’d rather him chipping in anywhere for the win than a 3ft putt…"
"Every since his meltdown on number 12 at the Masters he struggles to put in a consistent 72 holes of golf. Some incredible golf but also some head scratching shots that hold him back from winning!"
"A chip-in with your life on the line… Spieth in his prime or Tiger in his prime? Tough choice."
"Is it me or these players have no personality whatsoever compared to previous generations of players? With the exception of Tiger I find them all totally bland. I bet it’s me."
"It's called skill Jordan you are one of the best in the game if not the best just enjoy it"
"He is a genius around the greens - just expect he has a chance to hole out everything."
Spieth called his shot "bullshit" in the post-round interview.
"Yeah, I thought it was about how I played the last few rounds last week. Not quite as solid as the first one, but pretty good," Spieth described in post-match interview. "I had a nice par save on the 2nd hole. I kind of missed the first couple fairways, and then I thought I flipped it on 4, I made a putt and he missed one from inside, both for birdie, and then he made about a 40-footer on 7, and I was able to make about a 15-footer on top."
Jordan Spieth will now face Taylor Montgomery in his second match at 11:48 am (ET) on Thursday.
