Many golf fans seem to have not taken kindly to Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red apparel brand, reportedly stealing the design of its brand logo. Woods has an old habit of wearing a red T-shirt on Sunday while playing any tournament. He turned the popular imagery of that into a business idea, starting his "Sun Day Red" clothing brand in collaboration with TaylorMade earlier this year.

Tigeraier, a company that makes cooling products for athletes, has accused Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red of violating the intellectual property law by stealing its' brand logo.

A golf fan account on X (formerly Twitter) shared this piece of news, adding images of logos and statements from Tigeraire and TaylorMade.

"The company [Tigeraier] said: 'The actions of SDR, TaylorMade, and Tiger Woods blatantly ignore Tigeraire's long-standing protected mark, brand, and identity, violate federal and state intellectual property law...'
TaylorMade Golf has responded, saying 'We have full confidence in the securitization of our trademarks.'
"The move will force SDR’s trademark application for its logo to be stopped and likely result in a negotiation and settlement before it goes to trial, per JoshGerben, a trademark expert. Which logo do you prefer?"

Fans reacted to this tweet, with some replying with the logo they preferred.

"Sun Day Red is terrible anyway."
"Blessing in disguise, SDR needs a new logo anyways."
"Toss out SDR and start new," a fan wrote.

One user opined both logos needed redesigning.

"Both these logos stink. The money used in court should have been used on a redesign," the fan said.

A few fans said the two logos were different.

"Its not close to same," a fan opined.
"I’m a sports marketing and brand designer. This is gonna get thrown out immediately. Baseless," a fan said.

Tiger Woods' name has become synonymous with the color red as the 82-time PGA Tour winner. The name Sun Day Red comes from Tiger's iconic final round Sunday outfits. According to Woods, his mother, Kutida, was from Thailand, and she told him red was his power color.

After ending his long-time partnership with Nike, Woods started Sun Day Red, a new premium lifestyle brand, along with golf equipment manufacturing company TaylorMade. Speaking at the launch event, Woods said,.

"It's the right time in my life. It's transitional. I'm no longer a kid anymore. Life changes. I have kids now, and this is an important part of transitioning into this part of my life, to have a product and a brand that I'm proud of."

Sun Day Red offers golf and nongolfing apparel like T-shirts, polos, hats, and hoodies, etc. The Tiger logo has 15 stripes, a nod to the 15 major championship Tiger Woods has won.
