Sungjae Im and Shane Lowry lead PGA Tour’s power rankings for the 2023 Honda Classic

The PGA Tour is headed to the Champion Course at PGA National Resort and Spa in Florida for the 2023 Honda Classic. Ahead of the event’s Thursday start, the betters have begun placing their picks for the win. Unsurprisingly, Sungjae Im and Shane Lowry are among the top names on the list.

Im and Lowry are also the PGA Tour’s top expert picks for the Honda Classic. According to American circuit experts, Im looks best equipped to win the title this week. The South Korean golfer tops the charts as he comes off the back of a strong season. According to experts, the golfer has “been on an extended heater in earnest since late July.”

Having had considerable success at the PGA National before, including a T8 finish in 2021, Im will be eyeing a strong performance this week. The 24-year-old golfer will also be looking for a major comeback after a forgettable T56 finish at last week’s Genesis Invitational. As per the PGA experts, the Korean golfer looks “impeccably balanced” to play good rounds in Florida.

Meanwhile, Shane Lowry takes the second spot on the PGA Tour experts’ picks. According to the pros, the Irishman has “unfinished business” at PGA National as rain derailed the game as he approached the finish line last year. The experts noted that “he’s 5-for-5 with the impressive runner-up in 2022.” It’s pertinent to note that top betters and betting websites have also ranked Lowry high to take the win in Florida.

Denny McCarthy, Matt Kuchar, Chris Kirk, Billy Horschel, and defending champion Sepp Straka are other names on the PGA Tour experts’ list. However, Kirk is the only name on the list that the top betters have placed odds on.
