Fans on social media have reacted to Megan Khang and Alison Lee's caddies celebrating the US team's performance at the 2024 Solheim Cup shirtless. This happened during the second day of the team event after Lee holed out from the second fairway for an eagle on the par 4 hole.
Her caddie Taylor "Shota" Takada took off his shirt in celebration. Megan Khang's caddie Jack Fulghum also joined the celebration, taking off his shirt. The video of the unique celebration has been shared on the internet, and fans and golf stars have taken to their social media accounts to react to it.
PGA Tour golfer Max Homa cheered for Team USA by resharing golf journalist Claire Rogers' post on X (formerly Twitter) that carried a video of the shirtless celebration.

Although they were not in contention to win the title, Dahmen was excited about playing with Higgs and shared a post about the tee times on his X account (formerly Twitter) saying that if he got "enough retweets," Higgs would take off his shirt on the 16th.
The post got around 7K retweets, and Higgs took off his shirt in the final round. Dahmen also joined him.
Why did the caddies take off their shirts at the Solheim Cup 2024?
Alison Lee's and Megan Khang's caddies ripped off their shirts on Saturday, September 14, at the Solheim Cup because they lost a bet. During the second day of the tournament, before the first hole, Khang's caddie, Jack Fulghum, challenged the golfers to a money bet, but Lee dismissed the idea of money and instead proposed a different challenge.
Khang's caddie agreed, and Lee's caddie, Shota Takada, also agreed to the bet. Little did they know that the moment would come just a few minutes later.
Explaining the details behind the moment, Lee said (via NBC Sports)
"Right after the first hole, [Fulghum] kind of looked at us and said, ‘Come on, guys, I want to see one of you guys hole out. I want to see a really good shot.’ He said that if one of us holes out we’ll get $500, and I said, 'I don’t want your money. I don’t need $500.
"'How about you take your shirt off?' And he’s like, 'yeah, I’ll do it,' and he looked over at my caddie, Shota, and he’s like, 'you’re going to do it,' and they agreed, and it’s crazy it happened five minutes later."
Notably, Khang and Lee won their match against Anna Nordqvist and Madelene Sagström by 4&3 on Saturday. Heading into the Sunday singles, Team USA will have a four-point lead over the European team. The Solheim Cup will conclude with the finale on Sunday, September 15.
