TCU Hall of Farmer Tom Hoge honoured at a football game

PGA Tour player Tom Hoge was recently honored at the Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday, October 5. Hoge completed his degree in business from TCU from 2007 to 2011.

Tom Hoge was born to Chuck and Rhonda Hoge in 1989. He did his high school from Fargo South High School and joined TCU in 2007. He played collegiate golf during his time at the university and is a former star for the Horned Frogs' golf team.

The 35-year-old received a special honor on Friday night in front of a huge crowd at a TCU football game and was called for his induction into the TCU Athletics Hall of Fame. PGA posted a video of the same, where Hoge is seen waving to the crowd, wearing his purple blazer with the TCU emblem. The caption read:

"Hoge in the Hall of Fame @TCUMensGolf alum @HogeGolf , one of the newest inductees of the @TCU_Athletics Hall of Fame, was honored during Friday night's @TCUFootball game."

The announcer can be heard describing Tom Hoge's achievements during his time at TCU. He said:

"Tom Hoge was a four-year letter winner for Horned Frog's golf team from 2007 to 2011. Named Honorable Mention All-American in 2009 after tying for third place at the NCAA National Championships with a score of 300 at the NCAA National Championships. He was the first Horned Frog in school history to finish top five at the NCAA Championships. A big TCU welcome for Tom Hoge!"

PGA Tour congratulated him on his induction to the Hall of Fame and posted a picture of Hoge with his wife Kelly.

Tom Hoge turned professional in 2011. He initially played on the Canadian Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour before joining the PGA Tour in 2011. Since then, he has played in 283 tournaments this year. He has one win, 15 top-5 finishes and 29 top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour.

He has four wins in his career including one both on PGA Tour and Canadian Tour. In 2022, he won his PGA Tour tournament at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He won by two strokes over Jordan Spieth. He has had a total earnings of $21,444,531 on the PGA Tour.

Lately, Tom Hoge has had a great 2024 season. He tied for 29th on the FedExCup standings. In 27 starts on the PGA Tour, he has had four top-10 finishes and 12 top-25 finishes.

His best performances include a T3 at the Travellers Championship, a T6 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T7 at the Procore Championship and an eighth finish at the Genesis Invitational.
