TGR Live snubs Scottie Scheffler to appreciate his knight in shining armor in new post

US golfer Scottie Scheffler is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the circuit currently. At the moment, he is in action at the Hero World Challenge at the Albany Golf Club, New York.

The challenge is hosted by golf legend Tiger Woods. His organization TGR Live recently took to X to share a series of pictures of Scheffler with his caddie, Ted Scott. The post celebrated Scott in the most wholesome and amusing way. The caption read:

"Everyone’s focused on Scottie, but here is our Ted Scott appreciation post,"

The importance of the role of a caddie in a golfer's career cannot be overstated. Scott has been working with Scottie Scheffler since 2021. The veteran caddie had previously been at Bubba Watson's bag. In a 'Sweet Spot' podcast this year, Scott talked about how he works.

"So how do I caddie? I am specifically thinking of my player. What does my player like? What does my player not like?"

He talked about some of his experiences with Bubba Watson and what he learnt from them: (via Golf.com)

"I’m trying to use his words, his language, speak his thoughts and try and get him to manage his strengths around this place. And so that’s all I’m doing as a caddie is trying to figure out what is my guy good at, what’s the mistake, what can he handle, what sets him off, what doesn’t,"

Scheffler has enjoyed one of the biggest seasons in his career so far: he's won seven PGA Tour titles, the Masters green jacket, the Players Championship, the FedEx Cup and the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medal. Unsurprisingly, he has also bagged the Player of the Year award.

US golfer Scottie Scheffler is currently ranked at the top spot in the leaderboard of the Hero World Challenge, along with compatriot Justin Thomas. Round 3 is still under way at the event. Both the golfers have a score of 14-under.

The duo is followed by Akshay Bhatia, Tom Kim and Keegan Bradley at T3. The Hero World Challenge is in its penultimate step, with just one more round to go on Sunday.
