According to reports, LIV Golf is currently in talks with Fox Sports to be their official broadcast partner. PGA Tour pro Michael Kim, who is one of the most active golfers on social media, especially X, has shared his opinion on this news.
NUCLR Golf, one of the most prominent golf fan accounts on X, shared the news about LIV Golf and Fox Sports in talks for a potential TV deal. The tweet read:
"NEW: LIV Golf and Fox Sports have been engaged in high-level talks surrounding a potential TV deal. According to @SBJ, incoming LIV CEO Scott O’Neil has been on site in Vegas at The Showdown and played in Monday’s pro-am alongside the EVP of business development at Fox."
Reacting to this news, Michael Kim shared his opinion and said:
"That’s gonna be a hefty check from LIV"
Last year, LIV Golf signed a television deal with CW in a near-zero revenue deal in the United States. The initial season was streamed for free in an even lesser revenue deal on YouTube. Hence, with the new CEO Scott O'Neil coming in, he is looking to get Fox on board for the 2025 or 2026 LIV Golf season.
