Legion XIII triumphs in semifinals despite captain Jon Rahm's absence

Although Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm missed the semifinal match, his team luckily made it to the finals by defeating Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers. The semifinal match had two singles and one foursome match, and the team that scored two points won the match.

Legion XIII won one singles and the foursome match, registering a 2-1 victory in the game. John Catlin, Rahm's replacement, lost his match against Cameron Tringale, while Tyrrell Hatton defeated Andy Ogletree in singles.

In the foursome, Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent competed against Phil Mickelson and Brendan Steele, defeating them 4&3. The other three teams that won their semifinal matches are Iron Heads GC, Ripper GC, and 4 Aces GC.

In the finale on Sunday, the winners of the semifinals will compete for the top four positions on the leaderboard, and the teams that lost will compete for the 5th to 8th spots. Meanwhile, the remaining five teams that lost in the quarterfinals will play for 9th to 13th spots on the leaderboard.

The final will take place in a stroke play format, meaning all 13 teams' players will have a shotgun start and compete individually. Their positions on the leaderboard will add points to their team scores.

The team with the lowest score among the four semifinal winners will win the 2024 LIV Golf Team Championship, while the others will secure positions on the leaderboard based on their scores in the finale.

Meanwhile, this season's individual championship was competed at last week's Chicago event. Jon Rahm won the tournament and also the individual championship for the season, pocketing an $18 million bonus.

With the conclusion of the Team Championship on Sunday, the 2024 LIV Golf season will come to an end.
