The Open Championship 2024 Round 2 tee times and pairings explored

Day 1 of The Open Championship 2024 ended with Daniel Brown in the lead. The 29-year-old, making his third career PGA Tour start, shot a 6-under 65 to take the early lead in the major. He grabbed a one-shot lead over Shane Lowry, who recorded his best start in 46 Majors by carding a bogey-free 66.

Round 2 of The Open Championship will begin at 1:35 am ET on Friday, July 19, with Ewen Ferguson and Marcel Siem taking the first tee. The pairing of C.T. Pan and Yuto Katsuragawa will follow suit at 1:46 am, while Rikuya Hoshino, Angel Hidalgo, and Richard Mansell follow them at 1:57 am.

Notably, leader Brown will continue the campaign at 6:04 am on Friday. Denwit Boriboonsub and Matthew Dodd-Berry will join him. The group will follow the pairing of Kazuma Kobori, Jaime Montojo, and Liam Nolan, teeing off at 5:53 am.

The Open Championship favorite and Masters Champion Scottie Scheffler sat T11 after the opening round. He will resume his campaign at 4:58 am alongside Jordan Spieth and Cameron Young. The pairing will follow Shane Lowry, Cameron Smith, and Matt Fitzpatrick, taking tee at 4:47 am.

Notably, three-time Open Championship winner Tiger Woods has been snubbed from featured group coverage for Friday. The 15-time major championship will tee off at 4:25 am alongside Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay.

It is pertinent to note that The Open Championship has the traditional 36-hole Friday cut. Only about half of the event’s 158-player field will qualify for the weekend.
