LIV Golf has released its new roster for the 2023 edition. They are back with 12 teams of four players each to compete in 14 different tournaments that will take place in seven different countries.
The Saudi-backed series is set to start with its first tournament on February 24 at Riviera Maya's Golf Course. Ahead of the first tournament, LIV Golf has released its full roster for the second season.
The new roster introduced new faces. Brendan Steele left the PGA Tour for the LIV Golf along with Thomas Pieters and Danny Lee.
The 2023 roster has received mixed reviews from fans. Some showed their excitement and slammed the PGA Tour, while some branded LIV Golf as boring. People jumped into the comments section of the post shared by the officials on their social media pages. Fans wrote:
"Brendan Steele makes the Hyflyers the team to beat. The PGA has become a joke."
"Trouble picking. Those are some great teams!"

Why did Thomas Pieters join LIV Golf?
The 2023 LIV Golf roster confirmed the addition of their new member, Thomas Pieters. News circulated on Saturday that Thomas might join LIV Golf after he was not invited to compete at the 2023 Genesis Invitational.
Thomas Pieters fits in the top 50 of the world rankings and was expected to compete at the star-studded Genesis Invitational scheduled from February 15 to February 19. However, he did not receive an invitation.
The Belgian golfer expressed his disappointment and anger on his Twitter account. He wrote:
"Sad to miss my favorite tournament of the year. Because well as #34 in world, I just couldn’t get in PGA Tour."
Thomas Pieters joined RangeGoats GC, headed by Bubba Watson. Danny Lee joined Iron Heads GC, and Brendan Steele joined Phil Mickelson's HY Flyers GC.
