"The self-belief bucket has grown"- Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg and others reflect on 'Mr. Consistent' Scottie Scheffler's year

Scottie Scheffler has had an incredible 2024 season. In 18 starts on the PGA Tour, he has won six tournaments, including a major and the Players Championship. Further, he has performed consistently and has had 15 top-10 finishes this year.

Scottie Scheffler is currently leading the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a score of 20-under and is three shots ahead of Collin Morikawa.

PGA Tour recently posted a video on its social media where members were asked what has impressed them about Scheffler's season.

World No.4 Ludvig Aberg, who himself has had a strong 2024 season with eight top-10 finishes, said (via PGA Tour):

"I think he's so consistent."

Meanwhile, talking about Scheffler, World No. 2 Xander Schauffele said:

"I'm sure the self-belief bucket for him has grown, just being at the top for so long. He's had to, you know, learn to live with the target on his back. I think he's done an unbelievable job doing that."

Schauffele further said that Scheffler is genuinely a good person. He added:

"He really is the same guy from when I saw him practicing until 8 p.m. every night, the physio waiting on him, complaining that he's out there still practicing like a kid, until now having his wife and baby. It's funny to call someone Mr. Consistent that wins all the time."

Byeong-Hun An and Taylor Pendrith both talked about Scheffler's consistency and how 'he never plays bad.'

Chris Kirk, Russell Henley and others praise Scottie Scheffler's consistency

In a recent video posted by the PGA Tour, members were asked about their thoughts on Scottie Scheffler's season. Scheffler has had six wins and sits on the top of the FedExCup standings with 6,615 points in 18 events.

World No. 40 Chris Kirk said:

"It's amazing to play at that level that often. All of us on the PGA Tour, especially all of us that are here at the Tour Championship, I mean, all of us are very capable of playing that good of golf. But to do it week in, week out, is really just fascinating to me."

World No. 14 Russell Henley, who has missed only one cut in 18 events this year, said this about Scheffler:

"Scottie winning six times is just kind of unbelievable. I mean, to play well in the big events and to just keep winning and keep winning when you know everybody is looking at you, it's just very, very impressive to see, in our day, somebody come out and do that."

Henley also compared Scottie Scheffler's performances and consistency with Tiger Woods. Viktor Hovland appreciated Scottie Scheffler for surpassing his achievements from last year, when he won the Players Championship and WM Phoenix Open.

World No. 5 Wyndham Clark said:

"I mean, just the consistency. Obviously, six wins is really nice. Outside of that, you know, every finish seemed like it was a top five or top ten. So, even when he didn't win, he was right there and had a chance to win."
