Fans on social media have reacted to some new faces joining Tiger Woods in the 2K25 edition of the PGA Tour Game. The Tour recently unveiled its cover for the video game, featuring the legendary golfer Woods along with Matt Fitzpatrick and Max Homa.

Woods has been featured in the Legend edition of the game and also in the Deluxe and Standard editions, while Fitzpatrick and Homa became part of the Deluxe and Standard editions.

NUCLR Golf shared the news along with the cover pages of the PGA Tour 2K25 on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:

"NEW: Max Homa & Matt Fitzpatrick join Tiger Woods on the 2K25 cover for various editions of the upcoming game."

Fans in the comment section expressed mixed reactions. Some referred to them as elite covers, while others were critical of having Fitzpatrick and Homa on the pages.

"These covers are so f***ing elite," a fan said.
"Max Homa....Ouch," another fan wrote.

A fan called it interesting, while some appreciated having Woods on it.

"Interesting choices," a fan wrote.
"He is a legend and deserves to be on the cover!... Every year," another fan said.

Meanwhile, some were critical of Homa and Fitzpatrick's presence.

"Fitz and Homa devalue this cover," a fan wrote.
"Take Fitzpatrick off and put Xander," another fan added.

Yet, some fans suggested Scottie Scheffler and other PGA Tour players to be included.

"They know this guy is out of jail now, right?"
"Scotty, Xander, and Bryson... that's who I want to play in a golf game," one more fan added.

Tiger Woods to make his TGL debut this week

Tiger Woods, the 15-time Major champion is scheduled to make his debut in the TGL this week. After the series was postponed last year, it finally started its first season on January 7, 2025, with the match between New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club.

This week, Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club will play against Los Angeles Golf Club. The match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 14, at the SoFi Center.

Woods shared his excitement for the start of the tech-infused series during the broadcast last week on ESPN. He said:

"Considering this was just a dream conjured up - Rory and I were talking about it - it's hard to believe that that dream came into reality and we're able to take golf into another stratosphere really."
"Just to have the ability to showcase our sport - and it's not traditional golf, yes - but it is golf. And that's the main thing provided a different type of atmosphere. I hear a couple people rooting against Wyndham on that putt back there. You don't normally hear that at events. There are certain events you do hear that all the time, but most events you don't hear that. You're gonna hear that here, which is great," he added.

Notably, the TGL rosters for each team feature four players. However, only three of the four players can play in a match. Tiger Woods is playing this week and will be joined by his teammates Max Homa and Kevin Kisner.
