Some facts about the course where Bryson DeChambeau and John Daly shot 'Breaking 50'

The course at today's Old Hickory Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee, was established in 1926 by DuPont Nemours & Company for the enjoyment of its employees.

The course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast, whose namesake courses include Bethpage Black and Baltusrol. The original greens at Old Hickory Country Club were cottonseed oil-soaked sand. The current clubhouse is a replica of a house that stood on the same site in the early days but had to be demolished in the 1940s.

The course measures 6,617 yards and is par 71 with a slope rating of 128. The fairways are hybrid Bermuda grass and the greens are mini-green Bermuda grass.

Old Hickory Country Club is located in the community of the same name in eastern Davidson County, Tennessee. The club is one of the town's main economic engines.

Old Hickory Country Club offers much more than the opportunity to play and practice golf. Among its many attractions is the clubhouse, which serves as a venue for many of the area's social events.

The club also has tennis courts, a swimming pool, a fitness center and a pro shop. A junior sports program is being developed to introduce youth to the sports practiced at the facility (golf, tennis and swimming).

John Daly has been Old Hickory Country Club's member for several years. At his suggestion, renovations were made to lengthen the tees and bring the course closer to championship standards.
