"They won't give it to you" - LIV Golf's Jon Rahm on fighting for gold on final day of the Olympics

LIV Golfer Jon Rahm is currently on the top of the leaderboard after the third round of the Paris Olympics at Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France. He's currently tied with Xander Schauffele with a score of 14-under 199.

Rahm scored 67 and 66 in the first two rounds. In the third round, he continued with his spectacular performance at the Olympics and scored 5-under 66. He scored four birdies on the 3rd, 4th, 8th, and 9th holes against a bogey on par-3 8th on the front nine. On the back nine, he scored three birdies on 13th, 14th, and 17th against a bogey on par-4 15th.

Rahm finished the third round with an aggregate score of 14-under 199. Talking about being in hunt for the Olympic Golf, Jon Rahm said (via LIV Golf):

"I have given myself a chance and tomorrow I have to go finish. They won't give it to you."

The 2024 Olympic Golf venue Le Golf has received an estimated 20,000 fans in the first three rounds. Talking about the crowd and its support, Rahm said (via PGA Tour):

"It might have been new in golf but it is the Olympics. I think the crowd knows it is, and we are all aware of what’s at stake."

Rahm and Schauffele are followed by Tommy Fleetwood with a score of -13. Nicolai Hojagaard and Hideki Matsuyama are tied for fourth with a score of 11-under 202. Scottie Scheffler, Rory Mcllroy, Tom Kim, and Thomas Detry are tied for sixth with -10.

Rahm will tee off Xander Schauffele and Tommy Fleetwood at 6:39 AM ET on Sunday, August 4. Schauffele won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics too and would look to defend his title. The other top pairings and timings for the fourth round of the Olympic Golf are as follows (all times ET):
