"This guy's awesome"- Brian Harman saw a different side of Justin Thomas during the 2023 Ryder Cup

Brian Harman is all set to play the 2024 Presidents Cup and now he has some previous experience playing in team competitions. After playing in the 2023 Ryder Cup, Harman now has one team competition for USA under his belt.

The Presidents Cup is slated to take place from September 24-29 at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. On the most recent edition of the Tour Golf Podcast hosted by Sean Martin, Brian Harman relived his time at the Ryder Cup.

Being the first time that he could bond with a teammate, Harman quickly found out a different side of many golfers, particularly Justin Thomas.

"I guess, like, Justin Thomas, you know, him and I, we weren't ever really very close. We both been on tour for however many years, and all of a sudden, like, we play the Ryder cup together, spend that time together, and it's like, this guy's awesome. This guy's incredible," Harman said.

Brian Harman also spoke about playing alongside Max Homa and being able to see a completely different form of his.

"Like, what a fun guy to be around, and then just to get to see, you know, playing with Max and seeing him up close, and I, you know, when he was playing so well and just be like, man, this guy is a total gangster when he gets it going, like, it just, wow. Like, it's just cool to be," Harman added.

While Team USA did end up losing the tournament 11.5 to 16.5 to Team Europe, Harman took away a wealth of experience, which he will apply to the Presidents Cup.

2024 Presidents Cup team USA Ft. Brian Harman explored

The 2024 US team for the Presidents Cup is led by captain Jim Furyk. Six members of the team got their spot through automatic qualification, while six golfers were picked by Furyk.

The US Team is the defending champion for the Presidents Cup. Team USA has won every edition since 2005, with the 2003 edition of the tournament being a tie.
