Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy-led TGL, aka The Golf League, is all set to debut on January 7th. While this league was originally set to begin in 2024, the roof of the structure where it would be held collapsed. This led to the event being postponed, as construction began for a new TGL-hosting facility named SoFi Center.
Recently, American professional golfer Billy Horschel, who will be playing the event for Atlanta Drive GC, got a chance to visit the SoFi Center. Upon his visit to the host of TGL, Horschel seemed blown away by the magnitude of the venue. In a video shared on the X (formerly Twitter) handle of NUCLR Golf, Horschel said:
"This is unreal, I mean this is unreal."
As mentioned above, TGL will begin on January 7th, and it will feature six teams in action. However, it's also worth noting that while The Golf League will have six teams compete in the regular season, only the top four teams at the end of the regular season will proceed to compete in the playoffs.
