The 2024 Hero World Challenge will be played from December 5-8 at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas. The field for the event includes three of the PGA Tour's top rising stars making their debut at the event.
The three players are Ludvig Aberg, Akshay Bhatia and Nick Dunlap. All three were interviewed for the Hero World Challenge X (formerly Twitter) account and let it be known how they felt about being able to play in the event.
Aberg stated that he felt very much at home in the Bahamas and that he expected it to be a good week. This is what he said:
"Bahamas is really nice, it's my first time on the island. It's really pretty, and looking forward to a good week." [0:17 - 0:22]
Bhatia, for his part, explained that he is a big fan of the event and has even attended as a spectator several times when it has been played in the continental United States:
"I always wanted to play this event. I used to go to it actually, back when it was at Sherwood Country Club. Last year I came here and I participated in the Pro-Am and a year later I'm playing the event, be one of the top 20 that earn a spot is really cool." [0:00 - 0:17]
In Dunlap's case, he also expressed his satisfaction with playing the Hero World Challenge:
"Happy to be here, this place is beautiful, and I can find a lot more places where I can be in December, so..." [0:23 - 0:27]
The 2024 Hero World Challenge will have five more first-timers. They are Sahith Theegala, Russell Henley, Robert MacIntyre, Aaron Rai and Matthieu Pavon.

It was also expected that Tiger Woods, the host of the event, might take a place in the field. However, Woods is still recovering from recent back surgery and has not set a return date for competitive golf.
