Tiger Woods's former coach, Hank Haney, seemed impressed with Bryson DeChambeau for choosing the 15-time Major winner over legendary golfers in an exclusive "Who Over Who" quiz. DeChambeau, who now plays on the LIV Golf circuit, is widely known for his impressive golf content on social media. He is very active online and recently participated in LIV Golf's "Who Over Who" quiz for a social media video.
In the quiz, DeChambeau was asked to pick one among two legendary golfers he was given. It started with the incredible European Tour talents Rory McIlroy and Seve Ballesteros. DeChambeau chose the Northern Irish golfer over the five-time Major winner.
Next, he was asked to choose between McIlroy and former Masters winner Vijay Singh. This time, the 2020 US Open winner dropped McIlroy in favor of Singh. When asked to pick between Singh and LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman, DeChambeau went with Norman.
As the series continued, DeChambeau was asked to choose between golfing legends Jack Nicklaus, who has won 18 Majors, and Tiger Woods, who has 15. This time, the LIV star chose Woods. He was then asked to pick between Woods and himself, but he remained loyal to his earlier choice and picked Tiger Woods once again.
Interestingly, Tiger Woods's former coach, Hank Haney, who worked with the legendary player from 2004 to 2010, reshared DeChambeau's video on his X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
"Great job."
Woods is one of the most accomplished players in the history of the game. He has won 15 Major titles, the second-highest in history, and 82 PGA Tour titles, tying for the top position with Sam Snead. He was named Player of the Year ten times during his illustrious career.
Bryson DeChambeau to face off against PGA Tour stars in exclusive made-for-TV Match
Bryson DeChambeau is all set to face PGA Tour rivals Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler in an exclusive made-for-TV event, The Match. The tenth edition of this popular entertainment series will take place in Las Vegas in mid-December, featuring LIV golfers versus PGA Tour players. Representing the Saudi-backed LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka will join DeChambeau to take on the World Nos. 1 and 3.
The Match is a well-known golf exhibition series, held twice a year. Earlier this year, the eighth edition took place in West Palm Beach, Florida, where Rory McIlroy competed in a mixed-field event.
Alongside McIlroy, Lexi Thompson, Rose Zhang, and Max Homa also participated, with the Northern Irish golfer emerging victorious. Interestingly, DeChambeau, Koepka, and McIlroy have previous experience playing in The Match, while Scottie Scheffler will be making his debut in the series.
DeChambeau played in the fourth edition, teaming up with Aaron Rodgers to compete against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. DeChambeau and Rodgers emerged victorious in that event. In 2021, the Bryson vs. Brooks was held, where Koepka claimed the win.
