Tiger Woods' ex-coach Hank Haney has declared Angel Hidalgo the most interesting man in golf at the 2025 Andalucía Masters. He recently reposted a compilation video of the golfer’s unorthodox swing.

Haney, a veteran golf coach, is famous for his stellar coaching career with Tiger Woods. The duo won 31 titles on the PGA Tour, including six major championships. Hidalgo is competing in the 2025 Andalucía Masters this week and recently won his first title on the DP World Tour.

On Friday, October 18, the official X account of the DP World Tour shared a compilation of Hidalgo's unconventional swing. Ricks Golf also shared the video and praised the young Spaniard.

"We have a brand new Most Interesting Man in Golf," he wrote. "At the very least, go watch the first swing and the one at 58 seconds. I have no idea how this is possible. If someone can explain those swings in technical terms, I’d love to hear it. 😂"

Rick's post was also reposted by Haney.

Did Angel Hidalgo make the cut at the 2025 Andalucía Masters?

On Friday, Angel Hidalgo fired a 6-under 66 in the second round of the 2025 Andalucía Masters, jumping 33 spots and finishing at eight under overall. After two rounds, he was tied for sixth, seven strokes off the lead.

Hidalgo shot 70 in the opening round and needed a strong second round to make the cut. He picked up six birdies and an eagle in the second round, making just two bogeys to ensure his place at the Andalucía Masters. For the uninitiated, the Spaniard has already qualified for the DP World Tour playoffs.

Fellow Spaniard Jorge Campillo shot 65 on the second day to reach 15-under overall, taking a four-shot lead at the Andalucía Masters. Englishman Daniel Brown shot 70, bringing his aggregate score to 11-under after 36 holes.
