Tiger Woods is the host of the Hero World Challenge, which has been sponsored by Hero MotorCorp. The company is a leader in its industry, and they're going to continue being the tournament sponsor for the next six years. The current partnership will end after the 2030 tournament unless it's extended again.

Woods said in a statement via the tournament's website:

“I’d like to thank Dr. Pawan Munjal and Hero MotoCorp for their continued support of the Hero World Challenge. Hero MotoCorp has played a vital role in the tournament’s evolution, growth, and success, and its commitment is felt by everyone who joins us at Albany.”

The golfer also said that Dr. Pawan Munjal, the Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, is a "visionary leader" and a "trusted friend." He stated:

“His progressive leadership has made a significant impact not only on the future of global mobility but also the game of golf.”

Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest manufacturer of two-wheelers and the extension of the partnership means that the tournament can continue to be played in Albany, Bahamas.

Woods has been the host for several years and has played the tournament in years past, but he's not in the field this time. He had surgery to help with microdecompression of his spine, and he's still unable to play for the time being. Woods anticipates being ready for the launch of TGL next month.

Since 2014, Hero MotoCorp has been the sponsor of Tiger Woods' Hero World Challenge. Before that, it was called the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge and had a different sponsor.

Based on the latest extension, the tournament and its sponsor will have been together for 16 years by the time it ends.

Dr. Pawan Munjal said via the tournament's website:

“We are proud to extend this partnership, which exemplifies our dedication to creating meaningful change in communities, much like the transformative innovations we pioneer in the automotive industry."

With Tiger Woods, Munjal is "committed to elevating the Hero World Challenge as a powerful platform" to impact society for the good on a global scale. Munjal also said that working with Woods is a "profound source of pride."

He continued:

“I have witnessed firsthand his extraordinary impact – not only as one of the greatest athletes in history but also as a global ambassador of excellence and a beacon of inspiration for millions."

Hero MotoCorp wants to continue working with Woods because of their shared values and the desire to innovate and shape a better world for the future, inspiring generations to come in the world of golf.
