In his prime, American Tiger Woods was considered to be one of the best golfers on the planet. While Woods had impeccable skills that helped him win tournaments, another important aspect that helped him win was fitness. As a matter of fact, he is credited with helping bring fitness to golf.

The 15-time major champion was part of a press conference on December 22nd, where he was asked about Bernhard Langer's game at the age of 67. While Woods praised Langer, he was asked to speak about how impressive Bernhard's fitness level was.

"Well, it's a commitment to a lifestyle. You look at what Gary has done over the years. He's still out here competing at 89 years old, and look what Bernie has done over the years. That consistency to healthy lifestyle, training, just that ability to focus, and commitment to fitness. I mean, most of the golf community, they are willing to embrace fitness. Gary and Bernie were at forefront of it, and look how much they are able to enjoy it on the back end," Tiger Woods said via ASAP Sports.

Further, Woods was asked about where he is physically. The 48-year-old answered by saying he did a few things here and there.

"I did a few things here and there. I'm a great scramble partner. I can hit a few shots here and there. This is all about family. This is about bonding and it's about having a great time and we did that. This is a thrill of a lifetime for us to be able to experience this all together."

In September 2024, Tiger Woods revealed he had undergone surgery on his back. Later, Woods also withdrew from the Hero World Challenge, a tournament he hosts, because he felt he wasn't tournament-sharp enough to compete against the golfers who played at that tournament.

What was the last tournament Tiger Woods featured in?

Since competing at The Open Championship earlier this year, Tiger Woods hadn't made a single appearance on the golf course. However, this changed when he paired with his son, Charlie Woods, to compete at the recently concluded PNC Championship.
