Tiger Woods recalls his first memory of playing golf and what he "couldn't believe" about it

Tiger Woods is easily the poster boy of golf. With 82 PGA Tour titles and 15 Major Championship wins, he is a living legend of the sport.

Woods recently appeared on the 'Fore Play podcast' where he was asked what his first memory of playing golf was. As the US golfer host rode in a golf cart, Woods tried to recall his first brush with the sport.

While Tiger Woods didn't exactly remember the first time he played golf, he did narrate about his experience of appearing on the 'Mike Douglas Show' with his father, Earl.

"I remember going on the Mike Douglas Show and the only thing I remember about that is walking up with the big lights and everything. But I couldn't believe how much food there was,"

When one of the hosts wondered, "Really?" Woods answered:

"Whatever it was. The green room. But I couldn't believe how much food there is. I had never seen that much food in my house ever,"

The video shared on X by the podcast's social media handle also added the footage of Woods appearing on the 'Mike Douglas Show.'

Tiger Woods was just 2 years old when he made his TV debut on the 'Mike Douglas Show.' The show host had seen a news segment of a couple of toddlers at a driving range on TV. Woods had stood out to him, and Mike Douglas went on to invite him on his show.

Bob Hope and Jimmy Stewart were also a part of that episode. The then-little kid had appeared wearing white and red shorts and had impressed the world with his golfing abilities.

TGL creators Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will meet in an epic clash on January 27th, 2025, at SoFi Arena. This will be their respective teams Jupiter Links Golf Club and Boston Common Golf's first match against each other.

While this is the latter's first game in the series, Jupiter Links has previously lost to Los Angeles Golf Club in their first match.
