Tiger Woods has revealed the role of his son Charlie behind the Pioneer Cypress LE, a shoe made by Sun Day Red. The veteran golfer spoke about this in the brand's YouTube video released on January 24, 2025.

Last year, Woods launched the lifestyle brand Sun Day Red in an extended partnership with TaylorMade Golf. On February 13, 2024, Woods officially announced the beginning of his new lifestyle apparent brand. In Sun Day Red's latest video titled "Footwear Q&A with Tiger Woods", the pro golfer talked about his son's involvement behind Pioneer Cypress.

"Well, I think that what I have learned over the years with performance and feel with what I need in a golf shoe is what is being delivered down. So I'm able to communicate to talk to Charlie and talk with the team and make all these things happen."
"And the trickle down effect of that is all the consumers are able to play exactly what I'm playing in. So, sometimes over the years, it hasn't always been that way I have worn a shoe that hasn't been sold. But this one is exactly what I'm wearing."

The Pioneer Cypress LE, available in "two limited edition colorways" currently costs $275 on the official website of Sun Day Red. The Black/Red and the White/Red collections are already sold out (as of January 26, 2025). Sun Day Red recently came under fire from Puma due to their logos becoming reportedly similar (as claimed by the latter).

With the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Puma filed a petition to prevent Tiger Woods and TaylorMade from using its proposed logo. However, Woods revealed in May 2024, that the 15 stripes in the leaping tiger represent the 15 majors won by him. On his TGL debut alongside his Jupiter Links GC teammates, Woods was seen sporting Sun Day Red apparel.

Tiger Woods shared his idea of perfection on Fore Play Golf's video

Fore Play Golf recently posted a video featuring the 82-time PGA Tour winner. In the video, Tiger Woods caddied for the popular golf influencers from Barstool Sports.

Apart from being the caddy, Woods provided valuable information about the sport. While talking with the influencer group, Woods shared his ideas on "not being perfect".

"I need to hit it to the front or just pass it in the middle, I am either side. I am picking it different where I want the ball to end up on the next play. And so, this pin the worst place you can hit it here is long right. So hitting it short left either side of the bunker while you have room to play with."
"I am always trying to give myself margins and not being perfect. This game's too hard to be perfect, but it's much easier if you have an idea of margins and be able to swing freely at times, not be handcuffed, right?"

Tiger Woods also provided advice for amateur players who might come across difficult situations. The video by Fore Play Golf has amassed a total of 4.8 million views in just 10 days. Even after staying away from regular participation in golf in recent years, Woods hasn't lost his popularity.

Last year, he participated in just five events and hosted the Hero World Challenge. Fans will be able to catch Woods in a head-to-head contest against Rory McIlroy in TGL on January 27.
