The much-awaited TGL is all set to begin from Tuesday, January 7th 2024. The first match of the league's debut season will be played between the New York Golf Club and Bay Golf Club.
New York Golf Club consists of Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Young. The quartet will go up against Ludvig Aberg, Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry, and Min Woo Lee. According to Golf Week, odds for the first match are favoring the New York Golf Club with -125 while Bay Golf Club has +100 odds.
TGL has been the brainchild of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. It had been in the works since the past few years but is finally taking off now and with much fanfare surrounding it.
Along with some spectacular tech features, the duo has been able to sign some of the biggest golf talents in the circuit and have brought in an enviable roster of sponsors.
Who is the official sports betting partner of TGL?
FanDuel is the official sports betting partner of TGL. The company has joined a list of big sponsors such as Samsung, SoFi, Genesis, Best Buy, Sportsnet among others in partnering with the league.
The official statement announcing the partnership between FanDuel and TGL read:

As a U.S. sports betting partner, FanDuel will offer wagering options across all matches with live odds integrations to be featured through our broadcast, in addition to customized social and digital media integrations."
The tech-infused league will feature a six-team format this year, with the teams categorized by cities. Each team will have five matches with the inaugral season ending in March this year. All the golfers will play on a clock and each match will be of 15 holes.
Several top golfers with the likes of Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, Tom Kim among others will be taking part along with hosts Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Boston Common Golf: Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, Rory McIlroy, and Adam Scott
The Bay Golf Club: Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee
Jupiter Links Golf Club: Max Homa, Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner, and Tiger Woods
Los Angeles Golf Club: Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose, and Sahith Theegala
