How will TGL incorporate Samsung LED screens?
TGL is being touted as the tech-infused indoor golf league. The league which is set to kickstart in January next year, will showcase several cutting-edge features such as a 3,000-foot simulation screen, a revolving field of play, a turntable that will keep on changing bunkers and holes, etc.
The tournament will feature a six-team format, with all golfers given mics and playing on a 40-second clock. All teams will have four players. Several top names like Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas, Tom Kim, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Collin Morikawa along with organizers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy among others will tee off at the customized SoFi center arena.
Samsung is the latest addition to the league's association roster. The league will incorporate their LED screens for the following:
- Marquee Outdoor Video Wall: A nearly 600-square-foot, outdoor LED video wall will greet guests at the SoFi Center above the venue’s main entrance. Product: Samsung XRB Series Outdoor Display (5,000 nit brightness, 3.9mm).
- Field of Play Video Boards: On each side of the massive projection screen used for competition will be two nearly 1,250-square-foot LED video boards. These state-of-the-art Samsung screens will showcase match scoring, shot statistics, and hole overviews. Product: Samsung VMR Series Indoor Display (1,000 nit brightness, 2.9mm).
- Field of Play Ribbon Boards: The field of play will be surrounded by nearly 900 linear feet of LED ribbon boards at the field level and upper levels. These ribbon boards will add to the unique visual experience of the league's competition and provide sponsorship exposure. Product: Samsung ISC Series Indoor Display (2,000 nit brightness, 3.9mm).
- Team Benches: Indoor displays will comprise each team bench, bringing these areas to life with team branding. Product: Samsung VMR Series Indoor Display (1,000 nit brightness, 2.6mm).
The TGL has been in the news lately for pioneering the changes it aims to bring about in the sport. Samsung's addition as their official screen partner is one of the many steps the league has undertaken to add to the same in order to offer audiences a more immersive experience.
