Max Homa and Billy Horschel have officially joined Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's Monday Night Golf League TGL. It is a new golf league in partnership with the PGA Tour that will debut in 2024.

The tech-centric golf league has had several players announced and Homa and Horschel are the most recent to officially sign up.

Max Homa said via Golfweek:

“I believe there is an opportunity to push the envelope for golf fans’ viewing experience. TGL is another example of how we can appeal to younger sports fans and TGL’s progressive approach with its use of technology will further elevate how sports fans engage with golf."
"I love the concept of TGL helping to broaden the appeal of the game we love to a wider spectrum of sports fans. From the first time I heard about it, I knew it was for me.”

Billy Horschel also said he was excited to join:

“I have always enjoyed team and match-play formats, dating back to my days playing for the Gators. Being a part of a TGL team and competing in this format on a regular basis next year will hopefully play to my strengths."
"Competing in primetime in front of an audience will be a perfect environment for me as a passionate player who loves to feed off energy from the fans.”

The league is going to operate very differently from any current league. There will be six teams of three PGA Tour stars like Max Homa and Billy Horschel. These teams will play head-to-head and match play.

The venue will be "tech-infused," which will also set this particular league apart. The course will be virtual and will have a short-game that is complex. With this tech infusion comes a unique fan experience as well.

The season will feature primetime play for 15 regular season matches, which occur on Monday nights. This will be followed by a semifinals and a finals round to crown the victors.

Who else is on Tiger Woods' TGL league with Max Homa and Billy Horschel?

Naturally, Tiger Woods is involved. He said this about the league via Golfweek:

“TGL is the next evolution within professional golf, and I am committed to helping lead it into the future. Embracing technology to create this unique environment gives us the ability to move our sport into primetime on a consistent basis alongside so many of sports’ biggest events."

The rest of the roster will continue to get filled up with golf's brightest stars on the PGA Tour, so expect more announcements to continue trickling in regarding who signs up next.
