Tiger Woods set to lock horns with partner Rory McIlroy in recent TGL lineup

Tiger Woods will be squaring off against his TGL partner Rory McIlroy on Monday in a match of the league that they co-founded. Wood's Jupiter Links Golf Club will take on McIlroy's Boston Common Golf Club at the SoFi Center in West Palm Beach.

Woods will be facing McIlroy in the fourth week of the Tomorrow Golf League in singles matches. The match will start at 6.30 p.m. Eastern Time and will be officially televised by ESPN. Boston Common GC has McIlroy, Adam Scott, and Keegan Bradley on their lineup. Jupiter Links GC, led by Tiger Woods, will feature Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner on Monday.

NUCLR GOLF confirmed the news via a post on their official X (previously Twitter) account which read:

"NEW: TGL lineups are in for one of the most anticipated match ups to date. Both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will compete for their squads on Monday..."

Hideki Matsuyama from Wood's side and Max Homa from McIlroy's team will be sitting this one out. The 15-hole-match will feature 3-on-3 for the first 9 holes, and 1-on-1 for the remaining 6 holes. Scott and Kisner will lock horns on holes 11 and 14, whereas Kim and Bradley will face each other on holes 12 and 15.

Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods will have an epic showdown on holes 10 and 13 in their TGL clash on Monday. The opening match drew 919,000 viewers, as reported by Nielsen. More than a million viewers were active while the 82-time PGA Tour winner debuted a week later. With the TGL co-founders engaging in a head-to-head contest, the viewership might have a significant change.

Although this will be the first time McIlroy and Tiger Woods will have a face-off at the SoFi Center, Wood's squad has already debuted. The Jupiter Links Golf Club faced a defeat in their opening match while playing against the Los Angeles Golf Club. On the other hand, the Boston Common GC is yet to make its first impression in the indoor golf league.
