Tiger Woods' apparel line, Sun Day Red, has announced a "new era of golf footwear" ahead of the Hero World Challenge. According to the post, the new shoe design will be launched on Wednesday, December 4.

Woods is tied for the most wins on the PGA Tour with 82 victories. Earlier this year, he launched Sun Day Red, his apparel line in partnership with TaylorMade Golf, after parting ways with Nike. Over the months, Sun Day Red has introduced several products, including T-shirts, hats, polo shirts, sweaters, pants, and ball markers, with footwear being the latest addition.

On Tuesday, December 3, Sun Day Red teased its new footwear, the Pioneer Cypress, in a post on X.

"Tomorrow, a new era of golf footwear arrives," the post read. "Every detail has been meticulously considered and optimized for performance above all else. Are you ready for the Pioneer Cypress?"

"I'm no longer a kid anymore" - Tiger Woods on launching Sun Day Red

Earlier this year, Tiger Woods split with apparel giant Nike, ending their 27-year association. After several months of speculation, he launched Sun Day Red and debuted it at the Genesis Invitational in February.

During the launch of Sun Day Red, the 15-time Major champion said it was the "right time" to announce his brand.

"It's transitional. I'm no longer a kid anymore," he was quoted as saying via ESPN. "Life changes, I have kids now, and this is an important part of transitioning into this part of my life, to have a product and a brand that I'm proud of."

The team came up with the name "Sun Day Red" due to Tiger's legacy with the color red, which had become synonymous with his success over the years. For the uninitiated, he always wore a red shirt in the Sunday finale of events because his mother believed it was his power color.

"A strong believer in lucky colors, Tiger’s mother Kultida saw red as a symbol of strength and dominance, and once Tiger started winning in red, those beliefs solidified," the official Sun Day Red statement read.

Over the months, Sun Day Red has launched several products that have received criticism for being a bit costly. Recently, they introduced ball markers priced at $50, which isn't exactly affordable for the average consumer.

A few months ago, Tiger Woods' team introduced a Cashmere Collection, where the 3D Tour Cashmere Vest was priced at $300, while the sweatshirt was listed at $350. The 3D Tour hoodie came with a $375 price tag.
