Fans on social media reacted to seeing Tiger Woods practicing his golf swing ahead of the 2024 PNC Championship. The American golfer is preparing to play this week at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.

Ahead of the popular family event, the 15-time Major winner was spotted practicing his swings. He is returning to the greens for the first time since his last event in July at The Open Championship.

Sports journalist Bob Harig shared a video of Tiger Woods practicing at the PNC Championship ahead of the start of the tournament on December 20. He wrote:

"Tiger looks pretty good for not having played much. Two weeks ago in the Bahamas he did not even hit short shots on the range."

Fans were elated to see Tiger Woods' good swing and shared their excitement in the comment section, expressing hope to see the legendary American golfer play and win at the Masters in 2025.

"Tiger wins the Masters 2025. It's going to be an electric year!" a fan wrote.
"Ahhh yes. We’re in the “Tiger looks good on the range in the a Bahamas and PNC, could be something to watch at Augusta” phase of the golf year. Never fails," another fan commented.

Meanwhile, others praised the golfer for his resilience and dedication to the sport.

"Could be in a ton of pain but pushing through it to play in the tournament with his son. He doesn’t know how many more of these he has in the tank with Charlie so probably worth the pain to play," a fan wrote.
"It’s Tiger Woods for goodness sake, his muscles don’t forget the swing. His unfortunate challenge is being able to do it for 18 holes and 4 Rounds. Give the man a golf cart and 2 rounds, I’d bet he still can get it done," one more fan said.

Tiger Woods reveals a reason for struggling to win the PNC Championship

Tiger Woods and his son Charlie have been playing at the PNC Championship over the last few years, coming close to victory in 2021 but struggling in the final moments. He is still looking for his first win in the tournament.

During a press conference for the 2024 PNC Championship, held on December 20, a reporter asked him what has kept him from winning this event. Replying to the reporter, Woods said (via ASAP Sports):

"All the winners. Yes, we want to win, but it's about the bonding. It's about having the family. It's about us having a father-son moment together. Last year I had Sam on the bag. It was her first time ever carrying. This is a family event. You look at all the players and their families, the sons, their grandsons, granddaughters, this is what this tournament is about. It's about family."

Tiger Woods and Charlie made their debut at the PNC Championship in 2020, when they finished in a tie for fifth place. The next year, they improved their game and secured second place. They have been playing at the event for the last four years, tying for eighth in 2022 and again securing the T5 spot in 2023.
