Tommy Fleetwood was one of ten players on the British team that won the Team Cup 2025 under Justin Rose. Great Britain and Ireland soundly defeated Continental Europe by 17 points to 8.

After the victory, many of the British players praised the work of Justin Rose in his role as captain and player. One of them was Fleetwood, who said he had learned a lot from Rose.

This is part of what Tommy Fleetwood had to say (via ASAP Sports):

"For me on an individual level, I'm so close to Justin [Rose], I think so highly of him. He's one of my closest people out here, and he has been for a long time. I think he's been a phenomenal captain."

He added:

"I think seeing his insights on how he views certain situations, how he sees the way the week pans out, I think you're constantly learning off him, and he was great. All the lads absolutely loved playing for him. He was unbelievable captain and I'm glad that we got the win for him this time."

The Great Britain and Ireland team won three matches, drew one and lost one on the first day (four-ball) to take an early lead. On day two (foursomes), the British won three, drew one and lost one in the morning and won four and lost one in the afternoon.

With that performance, the Justin Rose-led team only needed two points on the singles day to win the event. It was Tommy Fleetwood who picked up the final point, beating Matthieu Pavon 3&1.
