Anthony Kim is one of 18 LIV Golf players competing in the Asian Tour's International Series Qatar. Like all his tour colleagues, Kim made the cut after 36 holes.

His performance has received mixed reactions from fans. Some of them have congratulated him for this achievement, while others feel that what Kim has done has little merit.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) had this to say:

"How is still on LIV, total embarrassment all round!"

Another fan said the following:

"Pretty sure I could do that"

Let's take a look at some other reactions on X:

"This is an amazing story. He’s getting better. And still has his elite short game," one fan posted about Anthony Kim.
"Shows how weak this field is!," another user said.
"The cut was +1. He’ll be among the first out on the course. Right near the bottom and that’s where he’ll finish come Sunday afternoon. The guy is a joke," another user wrote.
"Not many make it to the other side of a 10 year bender. Congrats," another fan said.

Anthony Kim returned to professional golf after a 12-year hiatus when he received a wild card for the 2024 season at LIV Golf last February. Kim played in 11 tournaments, with a 36th place finish at the Greenbrier as his best result.

As LIV Golf events are played without cuts, his performance at the International Series Qatar is the first cut he has made since retiring in 2012.

A look at Anthony Kim's performance at the International Series Qatar

Anthony Kim played the first round of the 2024 International Series Qatar with five birdies and four bogeys for a 1-under 71. He hit six of 14 fairways and reached 10 of 18 greens in regulation.

However, he struggled most with his putting. Kim did not three-putt any holes, but missed five putts for birdie. He needed 27 putts to complete the round.

On the second day, four birdies and four bogeys (even par) allowed him to make the cut by two strokes. He hit nine of 14 fairways and reached 11 of 18 greens in regulation, but his putting problems resurfaced. Kim three-putted one hole (16, par), missed eight putts for birdie and needed 29 putts to complete the round.

In the third round, Kim played the first 14 holes with a similar performance to the previous two days. Up to that point he had three birdies and two bogeys (1-under).

The 515-yard par-4 15th was his biggest challenge of the day as he needed three shots to reach the green and then three-putted for double bogey. He then parred the final three holes.

His day three stats included hitting six of 14 fairways and reaching 14 of 18 greens in regulation. The 15th hole was the only one where he needed three putts, but he missed 12 putts for birdie and needed 32 putts to complete the round.
