Tyrrell Hatton acknowledges his tough road to the Ryder Cup: "My opportunities are more limited than others"

Tyrrell Hatton will be seen playing for Britain in the Team Cup 2025 this week. However, his main goal this year will be to make the team at the Ryder Cup in September.

Even though LIV Golfers have been considered for the European team's eligibility criteria, making the cut is still pretty challenging. Despite peace deal negotiations, LIV Golfers are still barred from playing any PGA Tour events, which massively affects their chances of earning OWGR points.

Tyrrell Hatton recently spoke about the uphill road he will have to embark on if he wants to play at Bethpage Black this year (via ASAP Sports).

"Well, my opportunities are more limited than others, obviously. Desert Classic next week and the four majors. Going to have to play some very good golf in those five events to be an automatic qualifier," he said.

"But yeah, I mean, I'm going to try my best. And we'll see how it plays out. But yes, I would love to be on that team in September," Hatton added.

Playing for the Team Cup is also Hatton's opportunity to show Europe Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald his "commitment" to the biennial tournament and to the DP World Tour.

Tyrrell Hatton will be a part of the British side captained by Justin Rose for the upcoming Team 2025. The team has some brilliant players such as Tommy Fleetwood, Tom McKibbin, Matt Wallace, and Paul Waring.
