Tyrrell Hatton recently dubbed PIF Saudi International "important" for LIV Golf Reserve John Catlin. The tournament is the last opportunity for golfers looking to book their spot in the LIV Golf League's 2025 season.

The final tournament of the Asian Tour's International series will be held from December 4 to 7, 2024, at Riyadh Golf Club in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Several LIV Golf stars are competing in the event including Tyrell Hatton, Cam Smith, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, and Patrick Reed.

In the pre-tournament press conference, Hatton was asked about the Asian Tour's international rankings and his thoughts on who he believed might emerge as the winner. Peter Uihlein is leading the rankings while John Catlin is positioned second. Hatton said (via ASAP Sports)"

"Well, in terms of -- well, the winner gets a spot on LIV for next year, right? Pete's already on the team. So I guess in that sense, you'd quite like John to finish in the top spot. For him this is an important week."

Catlin was leading throughout the season until Uihlein overtook him by winning the recent International Series Qatar. Catlin is currently just 143 points behind Uihlein and is a strong contender for the International Series title. This year he won at Macau and faced two playoff losses.

Meanwhile, Tyrrell Hatton has nothing to worry about at the tournament. He further said:

"Someone like me, I don't have the added pressure of playing this week. It's kind of just see how we go. But for those guys trying to earn a spot on LIV, it certainly gives them an added incentive."

Tyrrell Hatton has had a great 2024 season with two wins, one on LIV Golf and the other on the DP World Tour.
