Tyrrell Hatton started his 2025 season on a high note as he won the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic. With this victory, the British golfer has issued a statement of making it to the European Ryder Cup directly through automatic qualification.

During the post-round press conference, the 33-year-old golfer made his emotions clear and said, 'I really want to be on that team'. He wants to qualify automatically and continue the previous three Ryder Cup streaks of qualifying automatically.

"Yeah, I've still got the four majors to continue earning points for the Ryder Cup. It's no secret that I really want to be on that team. I've automatically qualified for the previous three Ryder Cups, and I'd love to be able to keep that streak going," Hatton said.

However, Tyrrell Hatton is not a regular starter on the DP World Tour or PGA Tour to receive Ryder Cup points, as he joined LIV Golf last year. So it is challenging for the 33-year-old golfer, but his recent win, along with the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in October 2024, has got him in a good position.

"Yes, it's a lot harder for me now but winning the Dunhill and winning here this week, with this being a Rolex Series Event and more points available, puts me in a good position, but I still need to go play really well in the majors. I still need to play well when I'm playing in the LIV events. That's what I'm going to try and do," Hatton said.

Tyrrell Hatton carded -15 for the event to win the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic and earned around $1.5 million, along with 1,335 points in Race to Dubai points.

Where is Tyrrell Hatton ranked in Team Europe's Ryder Cup rankings?
