Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII finished fourth at the 2024 LIV Golf Team Championship in Dallas on Sunday (September 22). The team, without the Spanish skipper, capped an incredible season with five strokes adrift from the victorious Ripper GC. Notably, Tyrrell Hatton wasn’t too happy with the ending.

Hatton, who joined the LIV Golf side earlier this year for a reported sum of $65,000,000 alongside Rahm, dubbed his debut breakaway tour season 'good' and 'interesting.' However, the British golfer, who recorded four team triumphs alongside his Legion XIII brethren, addressed missing the season’s individual champion Rahm in the team for the finale.

The 32-year-old golfer said “it was always going to be hard” without his European Ryder Cup squad mate.

Tyrrell Hatton said, as quoted by ASAP Sports:

“It was always going to be hard with Jon not playing, especially when all four scores count. That being said, it's still disappointing to finish last out of the four today. Yeah, it's just a frustrating way to finish… I mean, you just deal with what's in front of you. Everyone tried their best, and unfortunately the scores weren't good enough.”

It is pertinent to note that the team captain Jon Rahm was forced to pull out of the competition finale due to illness. LIV reserve John Catlin filled in the position. However, the team featuring Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent fell short of podium places in the final.

It is safe to say that the team missed their skipper, who had just clinched the title of individual champion the previous week in Chicago and amassed a whopping $34,800,000 this season.

Tyrrell Hatton had an 'interesting' LIV Golf season

Furthermore, Tyrrell Hatton went on to laud his first season on the LIV Golf series. Summing up his year in the new league, the former PGA Tour pro said it was “nice to win again as an individual.” He exuded confidence in himself and the league by saying he was looking forward to the next season.

Tyrrell Hatton said in the presser, as quoted by ASAP Sports:

“It's been good. Yeah, it was nice to win again as an individual. I think it would have been a nice way to finish the year doing better this week, but it's been an interesting year with some new experiences, and yeah, we look forward to next year.”

Listed below is the complete breakdown of Tyrrell Hatton’s debut season on LIV Golf:
